2019 The Year so far...

How is it August? Not only that but how is it almost halfway through August? This year is flying by and we have been super busy. The Year started at VAULT festival in February with our first outing of The Lovely Bug Ball. Things we learnt: tissue paper and leaky roofs are not a good mix but apart from that we had a brilliant time exploring light, sound and learning to use our giant Butterfly Puppet made by the extremely talented Charlie Kelly. The Butterfly will be back this September as the show returns to Underbelly and that is what we are busy working towards at the moment. This year has also been full of workshops: indoors and outdoors. We also had two other shows, working with Theatre Deli and Southwark Council we produced The Mystery of the Camberwell Beauty and with RBKC we created Don Quixote - A Knight on a Bike which ran over the weekend in Hyde Park. the sunsets alone were worth it across the Serpentine but it was huge amount of fun and our audiences were both intrepid and sporting (especially in the wearing of many fake moustaches). The artwork for this show was done by Harry Taylor and is the image for this blog post. right now back to prep for those Lovely Bugs, do join us if you can we would love to see you. Full details on our what's on page. Enjoy the rest of the summer! Lots of love, Amelia and all at Exqusisite Folly.
